i don't get it. what is this place?

ever go to a party and stand in the kitchen making fun of other party guests? ever meet new friends because of that? this website is the same thing but on a much larger scale. hate people for whatever reason you would talk shit about them in real life. stupid hair cut. baggy pants. slut. etc. people who hate the same people you hate automatically become your friends.

this is not the next myspace, friendster, or [insert other trendy fad community here] and it doesn't aim to be. it's not about being "popular" with ten hundred thousand million friends. it's also not about being a ignorant jackass and calling people racist slurs. it is, however, about meeting new people; whether you hate them or not.

it's a network of commonality. your enemy's enemy is your friend.

how do i add friends or hate people?

unlike other social networking sites, ifhy teams you up with "friends of your enemy". the more people you hate the more accurate and full your possible friends list becomes. this list is built up automatically with people who hate the same people you hate. check out the manage friends area to see all your possible friends or when browsing profiles if you see "add to friends" link on their profile you know they hate some of the same people you hate.

can i post HTML on the message board?

nope. the reason is quite simple. it's to keep the messages clean, readable, and relatively fast loading for everyone. you can however post quotes and images with some faux "html".

for example:

you can also, if you are the original poster and it is the first message, post video from youtube.com. you must use the exact URL provided in the URL input form when viewing a youtube video page.

example:

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdAIt4MgnHc[/youtube]
if you type out emails or URLs the system will automatically link them. it's generous like that.
what's the percentage underneath people's images in my friends list?

that represents how likely you are to be friends with them based on people you hate. someone with a 100% hates all the same people you hate. so someone with 80% hates 80% of the same people you hate. and so on. if you visit your settings you can actually dictate who gets added to your friends list based on this.

what HTML tags can i use when posting a blog?

to help prevent people from accidentally posting HTML that may crash someone's browser or intentionally exploit it, the system limits what HTML is allowed. it does however allow most HTML. common tags that it allows includes:

when posting a blog what does "hide this entry from public view and require people to know the full URL to it." mean?

it's actually pretty simple. it allows you to keep that entry completely private. in order for someone to get to it and read it they have to know the full URL to it. (which means you need to give it to them) it won't be visible or linked anywhere on this site.

we can't control if your friends are assholes and you give them the URL to your blog post and they paste it all over the internet. but we do know some small guys with large sticks who can give a decent beat down. they work for titty pics and shots of tequila.

i am having problems verifying my account.

it should be quite simple. after you create an account here you are automatically (within a half hour or so) sent an email with a link to verify your account. just follow the instructions on screen (it only takes a minute) and your account will be verified.

you will have to verify your account any time you change your email address on this website. please make sure your email address is valid and you keep it up to date to ensure your account here is not deleted.
